Our Philosophy

Welcome to Beth Chaim Preschool, a warm, welcoming, creative Jewish environment with a focus on academics through play.

Beth Chaim Preschool accepts children from all backgrounds. Our program is designed to teach respect for differences, to instill the values of gratitude and compassion, to demonstrate kindness through word and action, and to teach children that we are all responsible for each other – in our families, in our classrooms and in the world at large. We believe that children learn through guided exploration. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum is designed to produce students who are creative thinkers, problem solvers and lovers of learning.

We offer small classes, an experienced staff, and modern classrooms filled with developmentally appropriate resources.

Your child will receive a well-rounded, enriching education that covers a wide array of academic subjects and offers learning opportunities focused on personal development, values, and socialization.

Exceptional & Caring Staff

Our certified teachers (two in each classroom) nurture a love of learning in each child through activities that foster a sense of independence and positive self-esteem.  All teachers are certified in infant/toddler CPR and first-aid and participate in on-going professional learning and development.

Meeting the Needs of Each Child

Our small class size allows the teachers to be responsive to the needs and interests of each child and their family.  Our preschool is a school for all children.  We welcome those students with special needs and have many resources to assist in each child’s success.  We work closely with each child’s support team to encourage growth and success.

Our Program

Our school day is from 9am-1pm (with extended hours available), Monday - Friday.

All classes are taught by certified teachers and our school exceeds all COVID-19 regulations and protocols as set forth by the NJ Department of Children and Families. All class sizes are limited.

Kindergarten at Beth Chaim

Our Full-Day Kindergarten class is taught by a certified Masters level teacher and provide a developmentally appropriate academic curriculum. Children are provided with math and language arts skills including spelling, reading skills, and conflict resolution activities. Science, history, and self-help skills are an integral part of the curriculum.  The kindergarten students are exposed to other cultures and customs as well as music, art, and drama.  We also focus on character development and enrichment of the whole child. Each day your child will have an opportunity to work one on one with the teacher and will have the chance to work in small groups. Each day your child will have time on our enclosed playground to run, jump, and play.  Nutritious snacks are provided daily.

Our Kindergarten program provides a strong foundation for 1st grade. In addition to a rigorous academic curriculum, our students are taught critical thinking skills, are creative problem solvers, are curious and are lovers of learning.

The kindergarten class meets from 9am - 3pm with extended hours available in both the morning and the afternoon.
