Tikkun Olam
Healing the World and Spreading Kindness,
One Mitzvah at a Time
About
Tikkun Olam (healing the world) expresses our Jewish responsibility to finish the act of creation by working towards a more perfect world.
“You are not required to complete the work [of perfecting the world], but you are not exempt from contributing to it.”(Pirkei Avot 2:16).
Helping the poor, healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and repairing the environment are some of the mitzvot that the Tikkun Olam Committee enables our community to fulfill. Contact us at tikkunolam@bethchaim.org to receive our notices and participate in our continued work. Committee Meeting Dates are Sunday mornings twice a month. Check the temple calendar and blasts for specifics. We welcome new participants and ideas to improve the lives of others. Our annual programs, highlighted below, run 12 months a year.
