The Role of Women in Judaism

Thursday, February 27 12:30 - 1:30 pm

Jewish texts tell us much about the role of women – both in what they say and in what is not written. The depictions of women are as varied as the text themselves. And, in the last fifty years, as women demanded – and received – more options in the secular world, the Jewish world, across all denominations, was pushed to grapple with this issue from within the framework of tradition.

Join Rabbi Adena Blum for an examination of the many roles women have been assigned and the many roles they have taken for themselves through the history of Judaism.
