Lower East Side Pickle Day

A family field trip…

Sunday, October 14

All ages welcome!

$15 per person

Bus departs Beth Chaim at 10:30am; returns by 8:00pm (with a stop at Harold’s for dinner!)

Pickle day is a literal slice of history! The Lower East Side streets used to be lined with pushcarts, peddling their goods and wares throughout this immigrant-rich neighborhood. Today, these stories are told through museums, but history comes alive on the Lower East Side’s Annual Pickle Day!

Pickle Day is for EVERYONE! Orchard Street will be lined with 3 full blocks of vendors, games, face painters – all that turns this historic neighborhood into a celebration of the pickle, one of the original foods sold from vendors in stores and pushcarts. There will be DJ’s, bands, balloon animals and carnival games….and giveaways galore!

Our bus will leave Beth Chaim and bring you right into the center of this excitement….and then bring you home …. With a stop at Harold’s for dinner (at participants’ own expense!).
