Introduction to Mindful Eating Presented by, Michele B. Granberg MA, CHT, CPLT
WHO: Anybody who is interested in learning about awareness of the experience of eating.
WHAT: Mindful eating is being present, for each sensation that happens during eating,
chewing, tasting, swallowing). When we pay attention, we begin to notice the rich and wonderful aspects of food, and we become aware of how much we’re putting into our bodies.
Learn about mindfulness and mindful eating
Experience several mindful eating practices
Learn how to extend mindfulness into creating intuitive food choices and healthy eating habits
*Please bring 3 different small healthy snacks (including one salty, one sweet and one savory snack) and a journal/notebook

Michele Granberg is a long-time meditator who has been teaching meditation for over 16 years.
She has completed a professional level Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program under the
direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, a leader in the field of applied meditation and mindfulness techniques.
